December Daily for Wednesday, December 1st

Today I worked on the family Holiday photos I took on Sunday. This presented a challenge as our family is incapable of taking a great family picture in less than 238 snaps. Hurray for digital cameras!

Here is the opposing page.  I was hoping to capture the absolute nuttiness of the photo taking extravaganza!

Today was packed full of fun, December events. We experienced our first trip to the emergency room with one of our children. Josh reached out to stop a french door to our house from swinging closed and put his hand and arm right through a pane of glass. The damage occured when he pulled his arm back through the window. 3 and a half hours and 15 stitches got Josh put back together again. :)

December Daily Update

I have been working on my December Daily album, to have it ready before December hits. It has been alot of fun and exciting for me to start on a new project, and get out some of my favorite scrapbooking supplies.

My desk is messy, covered with PVA bookbinding glue, a new botle of Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels, my favorite Stickles and Colorbox Chalks, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Black Soot, an old set of letter stamps and a collection of beautiful holiday and vintage papers from Teresa Collins and Recollections, just to name a few.

The book cover is almost done; today I added a shaker book knob from 7 Gypsies. I am excited to use it, I think I bought it 6 years ago. :)

I also punched the holes along the left side of all the pages for the binding rings to be installed. The next steps will be to add embellishments to the interior transparencies and photograph the book.

I ran across the 365:Project Life project by Becky Higgins. She has a digital version out here. What is cool about this is that you can tell your 365 story by uploading photographs and/or scans and adding journaling as you go! She has a cloud-based project template that is pre-designed. It looks and feels similar to what Shutterfly does.

We will see how the December Daily project goes. I would LOVE to do the 365:Project Life Project too.
